| Name: | Greg Extraordinaire |

Name: Caiden, Cai if you like. ^^
Contact info: Mm, on AIM, Saiph DAlgol. :3 Which is pretty much constantly connected.
Character Name: Greg
Character Series: Original, from a story labeled as “Bubblebook” for now.
Age: 21going on 13!
Appearance: Greg is a gangly thing. He’s reached his full height at 5’10”, but he still has a boyish face and his shoulders haven’t broadened out as much as one might have expected, and he’s probably a bit underweight, as well. He looks like a gangly seventeen-year-old or something. He generally wears black breeches that are kind of tattered near the bottoms (around the knee area down), and a normal dark linen shirt with lacing up the front, the arms torn off. He’s also barefoot 8D
Greg has longish red-brown hair that likes to try falling into green eyes (it kind of fails, for the most part). In addition to having a dark purple “K” tattooed under his left cheekbone, Greg also has a metal band that goes over his nose and over the left cheekbone. There is also one around his right bicep—both are lined with small “barbs,” and can only be tightened via magic. Back before, Korlithia could tighten and loosen these at will, with simple magic. Now, though, they won’t really do anything unless someone smacks him across the face. :D; Ow.
Background: Greg was born Greggorion III, named for his father (quite presumably, Greggorion II), his parents the king and queen of their land. As time passed, Greg also got a sister, Keladry, and a younger brother, Redon. Born the crown prince, Greg’s life was as normal as could be expected—as he aged, he was tutored in maths, history, writing, and the like, and also was instructed in things such as horseback riding, fencing, archery, and swimming. Etiquette and diplomacy, that sort of thing. And although his family had to deal with threats and assassination attempts every few years or so (sometimes a bit more often, sometimes a bit less), his life was fairly simple. However, no-one was prepared for Korlithia.
Korlithia was not yet twenty when her move was made (she’d been working with others, but soon took over the entire organization). During a much more organized, well-planned and well-executed raid that had been set upon the castle before, she managed to take the castle as the royal family fled. They tried to send a warning to the crown prince, who was out on a chase with some of the other men, but it failed and when Greg returned to the palace, he was fool enough to call out the perpetrators instead of running himself. His men outnumbered and one of them a turncoat himself, Greg… kind of lost. Badly.
Since then, Greg has been a prisoner of Korlithia, living under her utter control and will. He’s adjusted to it quite well, actually, though he still tends to get himself in trouble from time to time. He’s also learned enough that she doesn’t see the need to tout him about in chains or somesuch (the entire grounds are surrounded by thick walls with no real gates; not to mention if someone sees him outside the castle without someone trailing him, they’re like to drag him right back inside…), so Greg honestly has the run of the castle, so long as he does what he’s told. Which he does. After all, why cause unnecessary trouble for himself? He has the run of the castle, he’s (relatively) accepted down with some of those working for Korlithia and can chatter at them and play cards, and all he has to do is put up with Korlithia herself.
Greg’s actually pretty content with the whole deal—after all, if he was still the crown prince, he’d have to shoulder a lot of responsibility and take the thankless job of king one day. This way, he just sits around looking pretty and shooting off [what he thinks are] witty comments and drinking his tea, and he gets clothing and relatively good food and a roof over his head for free!
Personality: Greg can be very confusing. On the outside he’s adapted entirely to Korlithia’s reign and is an irredeemable idiot, who is more than pleased to sit around and drink his tea and leave everything to those who can “handle” it. On the inside… he’s exactly the same. But. On the inside, there is still a large part of him that isn’t happy, that thinks he should be trying to reach the outside and get away to safety, to come back and destroy Korlithia’s entire regime. He feels an overwhelming sense of responsibility for taking back his country, and guilt for the fate of his family (Korlithia doesn’t tell him a thing about them, so he’s not sure if they’re still alive and on the run, or dead many years now). He’s also very indecisive, as he keeps bouncing back and forth between wanting to run and plotting it out, and deciding it’s best just to wait, because there’s no way he’d be able to make it out and what use would he be as a dead man?
Greg is very stubborn, but he’s also learned to pick his fights—he knows when to back off so that he doesn’t get himself in trouble, though sometimes he eggs people on past an advisable point. He normally backs off when they start to get really angry, though; Greg doesn’t like sincerely annoying people without a reason (though just giving them hell for kicks is all right?).
One of Greg’s best quirks is his absolute adoration of tea. It doesn’t matter what type (though he claims Earl Grey is the be-all end-all); if you have a cup of tea you’re going to have a very hopeful and grinning Greg wrapping an arm around your shoulders trying to coerce you into giving it to him or making him~ a cup, too, pleeeeeease (and if you even try to give him coffee he will scowl and hate you for life)? He will drop anything for his tea, and has been known to twirl over a particularly good cup. And prance. And geek out over it otherwise. Greg also highly enjoys getting the bird’s-eye view of things, so he loves random places with a good view—bonus points if he can lean back and sip his tea. Windowsills, walls adjoining to buildings or higher walls, rooftops? He loves them, and will sit up there and make catty remarks for as long as he can get away with it.
Greg hates responsibility, point-blank. He gets very nervous if responsibilities of any sort are passed to him, and if you put someone’s life in his hands? There won’t be a thing accomplished, save a very whiny Greg frantically trying to push off the responsibility on anyone else that will take it. He also hates physical work (meaning that the only good use for him is as a talking doorstop) and tries to avoid that at any cost, as well. He’s a very unmotivated little thing, and is very easily manipulated, as he’ll follow almost anything he’s told. Kind of. So long as it doesn’t, y’know, involve work.
Item Lost:His favourite teacup~! Okay, so maybe not. Greg has lost his memory of who he is. He doesn’t remember his identity as Greggorion III, and he doesn’t remember that his family is royalty.
